A land Board Grievance.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— ln your last week's Land Board report under the heading "Disappointed applicants,
there has been made either a deliberate false statement or an untimely joke, which merely serves to fan the flame already kindled by the injustice of the Land Board. The word "disappointed" is substituted for "cheated by illegal applicants." The many other mistakes made in this report I will not trouble you for space to mention, but in justice to myself I ask the Land Board to publish in next week's papers the truth and nothing but the truth of my objections, and as the absurd report given has made the Land Board a laughing stock, I am sure they will do this. I am not afraid of my objections being published ; I mean to. uphold them to the last ; but Ido want the truth of them. —I am, &c, Alicia E. Chapman. Eweburn, July 24. [Miss Chapman's grievance is apparently against the board and not against our report, though to read her letter we should almost fancy ourselves the alleged culprits.— Ed.]
