The Hon. W. P. Reeves is gazetted Miijißfcer o£ Justice, and the Hon. William Montgomery a member of the Executive Council. . The Customs revenue collected in the colony for the June quartet was £381,664- as against £377,014- for the corresponding quarter of 1892. Last quarter Auckland ' contributed £83,050, Wellington £85,268, Lyttelton £61,725, Dunedin £81,04-4. .. . The following is tthe quantity and value of gold entered for duty- ior the quarter ended June : — Auckland district, 10,9620z, value £44,388; Marlborough, 3370z, value £1348; Nelson, 5070z, value £1896; West Coast, 21,1720z, value £84,677; Otago, 25,6510z, value £103,516. The Hauroto, from Sydney to Wellington last week brought 56 saloon and 72 steerage passengers for all ports. Amongst the passengers bookQdfor Lyttelton is Mr N. Melville, miners' representative for the district of Northumberland and Chairman of Committees in the New South, Wales Parliamant. He is on a holiday tour, and will advocate the temperance cause while in New Zealand,
