With reference to Saturday's cable message, Eail Kintore explains that when he was appointed Governor the term of office was limited to five years, which expires in March next. The Marqnis of Ripon has since pointed out that the usual terms are six years, and desires Earl Kintore to remain in office until that period has expired, but his Lordship has not yet decided whether he will accede to the Colonial Secretary's request.
