M'Donald and Co., Bond street, report as follows :— " • Very large quantities .of' skins continue to arrive, and' transactions are correspondingly heavy. Prices have loßt the firmness of a fortnight ago, but are still fully equivalent to present London values. We have a large outlet, and are prepared to do business to any extent, at full rates. Referring to the action of the buyers in connection, with the local auction sales, we desire to say that' we are the only firm who stood out of the arrangement, and that we are perfectly satisfied that Messrs Wright,'Stephenson, and Co. are only studying the future interests of' their clients in the determined stand they have taken.' ;

Messrs J. H. Kirk and Co. report under date July 12:— - During the past fortnight consignments have been coming to hand in much larger quantities than usual, whilst the indications of the.English and American markets^ combined with heavy available supplies, are .causing buyers to lower their valuea, especially on medium grades whilst winters,have suffered a drop from id to 3d per lb. Prime mixed winters are realising 16d, and selected does 17d, which prices we are now paying prompt net cash. - We believe we are perfectly justified in saying that we are the only buyers in New Zealend shipping solely to the manufacturers this season, thus enabling us to pay our clients the highest value, besides which we make no deductions in the shape of commissions, store charges, &c., &o. Returns and cheques posted same night as goods received. RABBITSKiN MARKET. Messrs Alfred W. Our operations for the past week have surpassed that of its predecessors, both in quantity and quality. A goodly number of poisoned skins have reached us, for which wo have returned top prices, and our clients have expreesed their satisfaction by sending us further consignments. Terms as usual—net cash. - Removal.—We are now at our new stores, Bond and Crawford streets, and we ask all tolkindly address us in full: Alfrea W. M'Donald, M'Leod, and Co. • RABBITSKIN MARKET. Ihe market is not marked by the same degree of animation it exhibited last month, but a large, steady business is passing at lately established-prices^ Many of our consign, ments have lately shown dampness, and we would remind consignors that this fault reduces the value of the skins.
