WAIWERA.
June 13.— The weather has been very severe here lately. We have had heavier snow than has been experienced for many years. Fortunately although several inches thick, it did not lie on the ground very long. Ploughing had of course to ba abandoned for a while, all attention being required towards the stock, &c. I notice most, if not all, of our sheepfarmers are well prepared for any emergency, having a grass paddock to run the sheep off the turnips in bad weather or vice versa as the case may roquire. As yet I hear of very few deaths among the flocks thus provided for.
