A RICH DISCOVERY.
(Pbb Fbess Association.) Perth, September 19. An exceedingly' rich gold deposit has been discovered 100 miles fromthe Southern Cross; reefs. Nearly 3000oz of alluvial gold has already been obtained.
September 20. There is considerable excitement over the gold discovery near the Southern Cross mine. The gold already sent down was obtained in a few days, and it is said that another 2000oz are in sight. The gold is obtained both in quartz and in alluvial ground.
