Mr Thomas Callender, secretary of the Sew Hoy Big Beach Gold Mining Company (Limited), reports having received a telegram intimating a return of 168oz 15dwt 21gr retorted gold. The secretary of the Six-mile Beach Dredging Company (Limited) reports for week ending 24th August: — "60oz 2dwt amalgam for 96 nours' wages time ; SO hours 40 minutes' actual dredging!" The secretary" of the Jutland Flat (Waipori) Gold Mining Company (Limited) reports for week ending 27th inst. :— " 370z ldwtgold for 144 hours' wages time', 142 hours' actual dredging." The Upper .Waipori Alluvial Gold Dredging Company (Limited) obtained from No. 1 dredge 6oz 2dwt of gol^ for two days five hours, and from No. 2 dredge Hoz-lOdwt lOgr of gold for five days fourteen" houfa' dredging last week. The secretary of the Dunedin Gold Dredging 'Company (Limited) received the following telegram from Itbd dredgemaster on Saturday:— '* Dredging fi.v.o ,and a-half days for 27 ounces gold." A .telegram lias been received from Neuthorn stating that 70 tons of stone from the Surprise claim, crushed at Wick's battery, is expected to yield nearly 2Oooz of gold. Mr Jabez Burton, secretary, reports that the Golden Run dredge washed up on Saturday for 13 days' dredging 28oz gold. The-Ettrick dredge wash-up for the week ending Saturday, 27th August, was 12oz 2dwt gold, value L 46 lls 9d.
