DETERMINED SUICIDE. Wellington, August 25.
A determined suicide took place last night. As the 11.15 p.m. train from tpwn was proceeding to the Hutt the driver felt the. engine strike some object, and on _ arrival'- At ' his destination he examiued the cowcatoher, which showed traces of human hair. f A return was made, and near whore the Manawatu -line ctosses the Government railway the body of a man named Frederick Wilson, aged 45 years, was found with the headalinoat severed. Deceased had acted as .canvasser for the Sydney Bulletin for some' time, aid 'yesterday wrote a letter to a friend stating, thaff or 7 the third time he was about to attempt, to: take his own life, and hoping that the\.attempt would be successful. From the tonfe of tho letter it is inferred that his accounts in connection with the Bulletin were not correct. He is believed to be a single man. • • '■
