MILLER'S CREEK GOLD DREDGING COMPANY.

The second annual meeting of shaieholders was held on Thursday, at the ofhee of the company, Colonial Bank Buildings. There was a large attendance of shareholders. The report and balance sheet were adopted. Mossrs James Smith and James Mann, the retiring directors were reelected. Messrs William Brown and Co. were reappointed auditors.

WEEKLY RETURNS.

The secretary of the Six-mile Beach Dredging Company (Limited) reports for week ending 17th inst., 450z Sdwt amalgam for 112 hours' wages time ; 95 hours 12min actual dredging. The secretary of the Jutland Flat (Waipori) Gold Mining Company (Limited) reports for week ending 20th inst., 220z ldwt gold for 141 hours' wages time ; 141 hours' actual dredging. The Upper Waipori Alluvial Gold Dredging Company (Limited) obtained from No. 1 dredge

14oz 6dwt of gold for 5 days- 15 hours', and from No. 2 dredge 220z Odwt 21gr of gold for 6 days 13 hours' dredging last week. The directors of the Jutland Flat (Waipori) Gold Dredging Company (Limited) at their meeting, held on Thursday, declared a dividend at the rate of 6d (sixpence) per share, payable to-day, 19th inst.

Mr Peter Barr, secretary United Hercules Hydraulic Sluicing Company (Limited), has received the following telegram from the manager : — " Thirty-eight ounces 4dwt 12gr, value L 147 3s 3d. Twelve days' sluicing. The secretary of the Dunedin Gold Dredging Company (Limited) received the following telecram from the dredgemaster on Saturday : — Dredging six days for ISozgold." The secretary of the Sandhills Company reports I4oz of gold since starting (August 11). All working well. The Kttrick Gold Steam Dredginsc Company obtained 12oz 3dwt 3gr of gold, value L4b" 10s, for the week ending 20th inst. The working expenses of the drudxc (including wages, fuel, and lighting) is under L 25 per week.
