SPRINGHILLS.
July 7.—ln my last letter I mentioned that drain-ploughing was about to commence. Since then the settlers have taken to it in earnest, there being no fewer than three drain ploughs working at one time on three adjoining sections. Two of these weie drawn by teams of 12, and the third by 10 horses. I send for your farm pages particulars of a trial of a new drain plough, \\ hich is calculated to bring this system into much more general use. Tiireshimj.—As I write (10 p.m.) I hear the mill banging away, so that Springhillers can catch Is lid for oats, for that Js our dernier restart. Evyncelical.—Mr M'Fadyen, the evangelist, has held some meetings here lately. He will X>reaeh again next Sunday.
