THE NATIONAL BANK.
♦ (Peb Pbess Assooiation.) London, October 27. At a meeting of the shareholders of the National Bank oi New Zealand, Messre James M'Andrew (Mathcson and Co.), Thomas Seaber, and John Morrison Stobart were elected to the directorate in place of Bir O. Clifford, Bart., and Messrs John Morrison and Sidney Young. It was stated that one investment company of northern New Zealand was withdrawing from the colony a quarter of a million, while others were preparing to do likewise, and all refuse to increase, investments while the attaok en the capital of the institution continues. October 31. The instalment call of the National Bank of New Zealand has been paid, and the business of the bank is generally regarded as satisfactory.
