DUNEDIN HOR SE SALEYARDS.
Wekkl? Bspobt. Wbight, Stkphknson, and Co. report as follows : For our weekly sale an unusually large numbei came forward, no less than 113 being entered. The quality of the horse* was not, however, with one or two exceptions, by any means first-class, and sales were in consequence somewhat difficult to effect even at the comparatively low prices ruling, nevertheless over 40 of one sort and another changed ow.ers Ihe principal business done was in useful farm horses, of which olais we had several consignments from South Canterbury, In addition to a few of a better stamp from the Waitati and the Taleri. The proportion of light horses sod was not great, and the prices obtained for them very uaremunerative to the breeders.
