DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS.

Wright, Stkphbnson, and Co. report as follows:— The yards to-day were crowded with horses, the greater proportion of which were useful farm horses and a few heavy draughts suitable for shatters. A very large gathering of farmers and otherß were present, and as a goodly number were intent on business the competition for the draught horses was very good— especially so when the team on account of the executor in the estate of the late Mr B.

Glbion was affered for sale. Buyers were also present for light-harness horses and hacks, but those offered were only of a medium description, and as owners were not inclined to accept market value, not much business was done. We offered, on account of Mr*' Hugh Gibson, executor in the estate of the late Mr B. Gibion, carrier, his team of 10 horses, waggon, and harness. The horses were sold, under spirited competition, at from £13 to £21, and the harness and waggon at satisfactory prices. On account of Mr John Douglass (Mount Boyal), 4 useful draught and sprlngcart horses ; and on account of Messrs K. Gawn (Korth Taieri), James W. Wilson (Balclutha), T. Owens (Chrlstchnrcb), J. Allwood, and others, draught and light-harness horses afc quotations.
