CANTERBUURY AGRICULTURAL NEWS.
(Fbom Oub Own Cobbespondent.) Chbistchuhch, December 10.
Tha Dews from the country districts to-night is highly satisfactory, reporting that rain is either falling or threatening. It has come at the last moment at whioh the failure of the harvest could ba averted. Some of the grain crop has already run in ear, and will be almost valueless, bnt the greater area still looks well.
The wool sales at Rangiora, Amberley, Ashburton, and Timaru passed off fairly well, and buyers appear to be animated by a more hopeful spirit than prevailed a fortnight ago.
