Oarlton'a oilskin coat (second prize). Competition. Waihola Lake, Oup Day (in race week). Ho. 5. — Trophies, presented by H. P. Thomson (jeweller, Princes street), Bing, Harris, and Co., and special prize (maoklntoih;, presented by Mr Thomas Brown (of Brown, Bwing, and Co.), for the heaviest basket by an angler who has not previously won a prize at any competition. Pomahaka river and tributaries (except Waipahi), January 23, 1891. Ho. 6.— First prize, 18-gallon cask beifc xxxx beer (value £2 7s 6d), presented by Speight and Oo. ; second, 1 box tea (value 255), preiented by Nelson, Moate, and Oo. ; third, silver mounted pipe, presented by Mr J. Mendelssohn, jun. (tobacconist). Competition, Olutha, December 12, 1890. Entries : One week before competition.
