The net railway revenue up to date is over £100,000 above the estimate, but the next four months are not expected to yield as much as last ' year in consequence ' of there being no exhibition. The commissioners anticipate that they will at the end of the year have a small surplus over the estimate.
The Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board received an application on Monday from Mr Kerr, of Howick, that he should be allowed to take certain inmates of the Costley Home out on Friday next to allow thtm to vote. The request was declined.
