Dear Sir,— l am instructed by Messrs Jardine, Johnotone, Hall Brothers, Geddei, and other farmers and proprietors of land in the Awamoko distriot. to give you notice that by reatou of your running sludge and refuse from your mining operations Into the Awamoko creek, you hare been for a long time past, and still are, polluting the wate-s of the creek, and at some points, through the accumulation of silt, causing their divergence on to adjoining lands, to the great detriment of my clients. For damage already done and loss sustained they will hold you responsible, and unless you cease from causing l,ho grievance 'complained of, they^will apply to the Supreme Court for an Injunction against you and for damages.— Yours, &c, Heber Newton
