Mining at Waipori.

TO THE EDITOR. Sib, — I should not trouble you again in this matter if I had not noticed that " Civis " has assumed to be a fact that which is not a fact — namely, that I am interested in coajunction with Sir Robert Stout in mining adventures. This is a statement altogether devoid of foundation. I do not know in what mining adventures Sir Robert Stout may be interested, nor is it any concern of mine to inquire. The only one in which I am concerned is a licensed holding at Benger Flat, in which I hold a sixth share, but in which Sir Robert has no interest whatever, nor does he, so far as I know, know of the character of my interest therein. I am concerned as solicitor for several mining companies, but they are all going concerns, with capital fully subscribed, and therefore out of any competition with any other adventures whatever. — I am, &c., June 6. John Mouat.
