DISPOSAL OF CROWN LANDS.

For the 31 sections of rural land opened for selection at the Crown Lands Office, Dunedin, on the Bth 535 applications, representing about 140 applicants, were received, all the sections being taken up except section 21, block 11, Budle, and section 20, block V, Lower Hawea districts, while the sections in block V, Kawarau, and blocks 111 and IV, Maniototo districts, have been temporarily withdrawn from sale, the land having been alleged to be auriferous.

The Commissioner of Crown Lands decided the ownership of sections for which more than one application was received by lot the Bth with the following result : —
