ATHLETICS.
Mr J, H. Hempton, the amateur sprint runner, left Dunedin for the North on Tuesday en route for Sydney, to take part in the Championship meeting in New South Wales. An Auckland telegram states that Mr E. B. Lusk, who is another member of the New Zealand Athletic team, left for Sydney yesterday.
