April 28. -Influenza ;is etill raging here, and if anything it seemi to be increasing in severity. accident.— Mr Mundie, of Hyde Home station, met with a painful accident last week on his way home from Eiversdale. The horse he was riding fell on his foot, breaking teveral toes. This will necessitate his laying up for some time. School OOMMITTEH.-There were not enough at the school meeting to-night to eleot a committee for the current year. This is not the first time that such has been the case. It is strange that parents do not take more interest in the welfare of their children. The school resumed work last Monday, after being dosed for a week owing to the influenza scare. MINING.-Miping is somewhat brisker than it has been for some time back, water being more plentiful.
