KUROW.
Maboh 25. — The weather during the last three or four weeks has been very dry and Bomewhat windy ; rain fell last Saturday afternoon, however, and d^d an' immense amount of good to the grass ai^d turnips. Most of the' farmers have now finished threshing.' Those who have finished are now preparing the ground for another crop. The highest yield of wheat was one of 65 bushels per acre, grown by Mr Faulkner on land leased from the Hon. R. Campbell, Ofcekaike. Some very good crops of oats have also been threshed.
Harvest Home. -A harvest home ball was held ia Goddard's Hall last Wednesday night.' ; *t commenced to rain jn the evening, bub it cleared off about 9 o'clock; < There was a good attendance, how- , ever. Luncheon was partaken off about 12 p'olock, and dancing was kept up till an early hour in the morning.— [Arrived too Bite for last Issue.— Ep.] .
