From what I can make out there was no serious cause for the scare, and, though her backers are nob over confident, I still think that she will very nearly win. Mon Loup is a sure starter, bar accidents, and will run better than some who do not know him may expect. %* Johnny Taggart leaves by the Te Anan this week for Melbourne, taking with him the galloway mare Idalia and the pony Tottie- on account of Mr T. Surman. Keith also goes across by the same boat with Random, the pony stallion Veto,' and another trotter— a maiden.
