HORSE REPORT. Wright, Stepherson, and Co, report as follows :—

Saturday's sale brought .together a largo number of ho«es, both heavy and light ; and as there was an excellent attendance of buyers, the most successful sale that has been held for many months resulted. Almost every horse entered having any pretensions to youth and soundness changed hands at enhanced values. By order of the trustees in th« estate of George Hutchings, the whole of his contracting plant and horses were sold, the best of the horses realising from £21 10b to £26. Our other sales of first-ciass draught geldings were at from £23 103 to £30. In light norses, too, n good bnsiue&s was done, and the demand is far from being satisfied ; indeed, as ttated by us in our last report, it is certain to continue for the next two or three week 3. The following may be picked out as of special note in Saturday's sale:— One very flue upstanding gelding, £24; one first-class buggy mare, £*0, and another £18. We quote as follows .—First-class draught geldings (young), at £22 to £30 ; ordinary and medium draughts, £12 to £20 ; light and aeed draughts, £7 to £14 ; first-class carriage horses, £25 to £35; first-class hunters, £25 to £35; iiist-class buggy pairs, £35 to £50; common light horses (Indian reraountß), £8 to £15 ; aged and inferior, £2 to £5.
