London, August 20. The match Australian Eleven against Gloucestershire commenced afc Cheltenham to-day; The Australians went lirst to the wicket, and at the luncheon adjournment had lost seven wickets for 77 runs, M'Donnell, with, 38, being the principal scorer. August 21. In the match against Gloucestershire the first innings of the Australian Eleven closed for 118 runs, of which Jarvis scored 29. Rain interfered .with the play. At the close of to-day's play the County team had scored 12G for the loss of one wicket ; W. G. Grace beinfc not out with (56. The first innings of Gloucestershire closed for 209 ; Grace, with 92, being the highest scorer. Ferris took six wickete for 93 runs. Rain fell during the day, and the wicket was very slow.
