REPORTED LOSS OF LIFE.
It was reported on Sunday that an old man, 70 year 3of age, named John Connelly, who resided by himself in a hut on the Cottesbrook station, was missing; He was last seen in his hut on Saturday evening, and on Sunday the hut was almost covered with water. Constable O'Brien made inquiries at the station on Sunday about Connelly, but he had not been there and has not
since been discovered. It is feared that he 'has been drowned.
