Reefton Mining Notes. (From Our Own Correspondent.)
Rebfton, August 2.
Golden Treasure. — Tenders for the purchase of this company's gold and coal mines, crushing plant, &c. closed yesterday, and it is reported that J. B. Beeche, sbarebroker, Reefton, is the highest tenderer, the price being £855, and that it has been accepted by the Dunedin directors subject to the ratification of the shareholders. August 5. The following are the battery returns for the past week : — Keep-it-Dark, 2940z amalgam from 168 tons of stone ; Fiery Cross Extended. 170oz amalgam from 96 tons ; Progress, 68oz amalgam from 80 tons ; Globe, 160oz amalgam from 170 tons. August 6. The following are the calls for the current month : — Homeward Bonnd, 2d ; Sir Francis Drake, 3d ; Inglewood, 3d ; Lone Star, Id ; Gallant,* Id; Hard-to-Find, Id ; Scotia, Id; Inkermen, 2d; Lone Hand, Id; All Nations, Id; Argus, Id ; Nil Desperandum, 2d ; Happy Valley, Id; Eureka, Id.
