MATAURA v. WYNDHAM.
A football match took place on Saturday last between the Mataura and Wyndham clubs, and was won by the former by h goal and two points.* This is the first match played by the W.F.C. this season, and the wonder is that they made as good a fight as they did. There is little doubt that the best team won, but with more practice the vanquished would certainly show up well. The g§me was played in the most friendly spirit, ' and cheers having been given for both sides, an adjournment was made to host Hay'p, of the Wyndham Hotel, Jwhere a first-class luncheon was in waiting.
