Wheat: The market shows no improvement since last report; millers prefer to act cautiously. Best Northern Tuscans and velvets, from 3a 2d to 3s 4d ; Southern samples, 3s to 3s 2d ; medium, neglected, 2s 3d to 2s lOd. Fowls' wheat : Good whole is worth Sis tJd ; broken, 2s to 2s 3d. Barley: Best hrewers' malting, 4s 4d to 4s 6d ; milling, 3s (td to 4s ; feed, 2s fid to 3s. Oats: Values of last week hold goed this also. Best milling lots, Is 9d ; plump bright feed, Isßd to Is B§d; medium and oft-colour, Is 6fdto Is 7jd. Flour : Bsst Timaru roller, £8 10s ; 50's. £9 sa, f.0.b. ; beat Oarnaru stone, £8 103 ; 50's, £9, in DuneJin ; Southern stone and town brands,,, ,£B ; 50's, £8 10s, in Dunedin. Oatmeal : Long too in bulk, £8 10s ; 25"a, £3 10b ; 7's and 14's, £10 10s. Bran : 60s f.o.b. Oamaru and Dunedin ; 55s f.o.b. Timaru. Sharps: 70s f.o.b Oamaru and Dunedin; 65s f.o.b. Timaru. Potatoes: Best Northern, 50s to 52s 6d per ton. Pigs : Well-fed farmers' lots up to 1801b, 3^d to 4d per lb. Chaff : Well-cut clean and heavy, 50s to 55s per ton. Straw chaff : 40s. Carrots : 40s. Turnips : 20s. Black dust : 9d per bag, Straw, oaten and wheaten : 40s per ton. Hay, oaten : 60s per ton. Hay, clover and ryegrass : 60s per ton. Butter : JPritne salt, 7d to 8d (kegs ext ra) ; fresh do etorekeepers' lots, 7£d to Bd. Cheese : Best Akaroa, 3jd ; loaves, 4d ; Brighton, 3|d. Hams and bacon : 8d for former, 6£ to 7U for rolls and flitches. Honey : 3f.l in tins and casks. Grass seeds : We had a few inquirers for ryegrass, farmers' lots, from 2s to 2s 3d : best machine-dressed from 2a lOd to 3s ; cocksfoot, little inquiry, 3£ to 3?d per lb.
