MOVEMENTS OF THE UNION STEAM SHIP COMPANY'S FLEET. Tuesday, May 22. Lyttelton— Wairarapa arrived 8.30 a.m. from Wellington; sailed 4 p.m. for Port Chalmers. Penguin arrived 10 a.m. from Port Chalmers ; sailed 9 p.m. for Wellington. Wellington — Mahinapua arrived 9 a.m. from Lyttelton; sailed 4 p.m. for Nelson. Nelson — Eotorua arrived 5 a.m. from Wellington ; returned 5 p.m. THE DIRECT STEAMERS. The Tongariro arrived at Wellington on the i9th. She brings 105Jpassengers for New Zealand and 180 Government immigrants ; also 226 pkgs mails. She left Plymouth on the 7th April, Teneriffe on the 12th, the Cape on the 27th, and Hobart on the 15th May. The weather was fine and the passage uneventful. Her total time waa 41 days 7 hours ; actual steaming time, 39 days 22 ' hours. Dr Hansard is her surgeon. The Tongariros paßsengers for Port Chalmers are as follow : — Saloon : Messrs H N Davy and R Lambert. Second cabin : Messrs E Oleland and T C M'lntyre. Third cabin : Misses Bewster and Carroll, Messrs H Burrows, W Dalton, J M'Caughton, T Porter, H Stone, T White. During the week ending May 20, 17 vessels with a total of 5668 tons register arrived at, and 15 vessels registering a total of 5370 tons sailed from the Dunedin wharves. The s.s. Bayley left Bt. Vincent on the 17th inst for London. Her meat was in prime condition.
