THE HOME PRODUCE MARKET.

The current series of wool sales closed on Wednesday for the Easter holidays, and will be resumed on the 13th inst. The tone of the sales is satisfactory, though a slight downward tendency has been manifested in certain kinds of wool. The entries for the series closed on April 1 with an available total of 277,471 bales, made up as follows:— New Zealand; 48,695; New South Wales, 58,142; Queensland, 17,324; Victoria, 72,041 ; South Australia, 32,201 ; Western Australia, 8111 ; Tasmania, 2727 ; Gape of Good Hope, 38,230.
