The ship Jessie Readman!is fast filling up with her loading for London. On Monday she had. on board 3000 bales wool and skins, 550 casks of tallow, and 350 cases of preserved meats. ' - • The barque Formosa put out the last of her general cargo on Monday. Sbe will b» clear of her deadweight in a couple of days and ready ,to take in cargo for Valparaiso, for which port she will take passengers. The tonnage on the loading berth at London on April 1 for Australia and New Zealand amounted to 45.670 tons.

Captain Waldemar, of the ship Eak, \yhich arrived at Sydney on May 6, reports that on the night of

March 28, when about the equator, he'Bawaship on fire. The vessel was apparently a wooden >hip, about 1500 tons. ' It was one mass of flames, and'sankafter burning about eight Hours.
