Eight gentlemen and two lady players belonging to the Bruce Lawn Tounis C|ub visited Green Island last week, to play a match against the local club, when a most enjoyable and close game resulted. Up to the very, last the result was doubtful, but tho Bruce players eventually scored a victory by only five game's, the totals being: Bruce 164, Green Island 159. The combined doubles were not fit) jahed, owing to shortness of time, but as they could not upset the result, it was agreed they should count as they stood at knocking-off time. The home team kindly pro? vided lunch for, the vibitor*, who returned tfl Milton well pleased with their day's outing. 1$ is 'probable a 'return matph will- bo played at Mfl« ton soon.
