On the. 3th January, at St. Kilda, Thomas Newton (late of Afcaroa) ; aged 22 vea^s.
' On the 6th January, at Green laland, accidentally drowned while bathing, William, eldest 6on of James and Mary Agnew Thomson; aged 19 years. On the 11th January, at Dunedin, Mflrv'Cockhurn Alley ne, the wife* of W. J. M. Larnach ; aged 38yeare.
Mr Charles Bills on Wednesday received by th© 8.9. Hiuroto a number of nightingales, robtas, and bulfincbes brought out for him in the b.p.- lonic, from London, together with nine hedgehogs.
