SCHOOL VACATIONS.

PINE HILL.

The annual examination of Pine Hill School took place on Friday in. presence of a large number of parents and friends. The schoolroom was beautifully decorated with the ferns and shrubs which grow in luxuriance in this district. The portions containing birds' nests with eggs attracted special notice. After a short examination, prizes were distributed by Mr G. Ford, chairman of the school committee, a follow :■—
