CHESS.—Problem 570.
By Mr A. F. Mackenzie, Kingston, Jamaica. First prize in late two-move problem tourney f Lett's Household Magazine. Motto—"None knew thee but to love thee."
White to play and mate in two moves. The judges of the tourney, Messrs W. Norwood Potter and F. 0. Collins, in their report declare the above problem " a composition of surpassing beauty and brilliancy. Indeed the ideal of a perfect two-mover is almost reached in it."
