An alleged swindler named John Fraser was arrested at Newcastle under exciting circumstances. Constable Kennedy, in charge of the Wee Wee Police Station, has committed suicide by shooting himself with a revolver. He had been sixteen years in the service, but had been drinking heavily of late.
