REFERENCE BOARD.
Showing the numbers of the squares.
At the commencement of a game, the Black men occupy the squares numbered 1 to 12, the White men those numbered 21 to 32. Black always moves first. We would advise our readers to put this diagrm in their scrap book for occasional reference.
