A GROWING BUSINESS. IN no establishment in town is the real wants of the suffering public attended to in the same manner as at A. M. Loasby's establishments — the Central Pharmacy, 30 Princes street (opposite City Hotel), and at 174 Princes htreet south. Strict personal attention is at ail times given to dispensing by the Proprietor. The prices have been materially reduced, and thequality of drugs used are guaranteed, nothing being taken into stock until a careful analysis has been made ; everything is directly imported from the leading drug houses at Home abroad ; and nothing in the way of utensils is wanting to make A. M. Loasby's the leading manufacturing and dispensing establishments in Dunedin. Competent and trustworthy assistants only are employed, and the business done vow, compared with the turnover 18 months since when A. M. Loasby took possession of premises, is simply astonishing. Mr Loasby goes in largely for proprietory articles, the most famous of which it would be truly hard to name, they each enjoying a large reputation throughout Otago ; and iv conjunction, with this matter it may not be out of place to state that almost every storekeeper throughout the whole provincial district keeps a full supply of all these now so wellknown remedies. We will mention a few of his wonderful " cures." A. M. Loasby's Corn Solvent. — This' preparation ia double the size and strength of Cura Clava, and at two-thirds the price — viz., Is. This remedy has cured a corn of forty years' growth, after seven bottles of Cura Clava failed. Loasby's Irish Moss. — For Coughs, Colds, &c. This.preparation, for which the proprietor holds numerous testimonials, has a large and mcreasng sale. In one instance it saved the life of a child dying with whooping cough after medical attendants had despaired of its recovery. Loasby's Carbolised Rose Tooth Powder. — A delightfully perfumed and reliable dentifrice. The manufacturer has numerous testimonials for this article alike from Dentists, Chemists, " and Ladies. If the sale of an article is a test of its quality (and everyone admits it is) it must nideed be the Tooth Powder par excellence of Otago. It cures Toothache, arrests and prevents decay, hardens the gums, and whitens the teeth ; and once used, it will find its place on toilet stands ever afterwards. Loasby's Baking Powder.— This article is bound to supersede the imported article. A large sale is already secured for it. It is the strongest powder in the market, and by its use one-half of the usual quantity of eggs can db dispensed with — a great saving these hard times. The public should liberallysupport this industry, which promises to become in a short time one of large dimensions. A. M. L. does not ask the public to leave a superior English pake for a local production, but gives them (taking size into consideration) a cheaper and undoubtedly a stronger Baking Powder than the imported. A number of storekeepers already have it in stock, and we trust the public will insist on getting their own rights — viz., the best and cheapest article in the market, and Loasby's Baking Powder is that undoubtedly. Mr Loasby has received a flattering testimonial from Dr Black ; a certain guarantee of its quality and purity. I Country customers would do well to test A. M. Loasby's prices by sending in their orders. We are certain they will not regret it. — The address i is- A. ML I^PASBY, !
