"WARRIOR" IN CHRISTCHURCH.
Christchurch, March 30. In company with Sir Lauucelot, I had a look round Middle Park and some of the Riccarton training stables this afternoon. At Middle Park I saw the yearlings to be submitted to auction at Easter. Of the sires I liked St. George best. Among the yearlings, the filly by Apremont — Red Rose (full sistor to La Rose, now iv training in Duneclin), Welcome Jack's half-sister by Apremont— Miss Flat, and Vinaigrette's full sister by Apremont— Becky Sharp pleased me most. After looking through the occupants of the Middle Park stud we went over Chokebore Lodge, where I had a look at July and Nelson, and thence wo walked over to the racecourse and to O'Brien's training stables. In the latter I inspected Trenton and Tasman, both o| whom look in the pink of condition. The foniier was an old friend of mine, as I saw him run third to Sheet Anchor and Grace Darling for the Melbourne Cup, and he certainly has not gone backward since then.
