Hardy. — On 9th July, at Oak Lodge, Hildenborough, Kent, llev. Charles Hardy, 8.A., formerly vicar of Hayling Island, only surviving brother of William Hardy, N.E. Valley ; aged 81. Boyle.— On the 11th August (appeared in issue of 15th inst. as on the 12th), at Queen6town, New Zealand, Edmund Montagu, youngest son of the late Hon. John Boyle, and grandson of Edmund, eighth Earl of Cork and Orrery ; nged 40. Crisp.— On the 20th August 1885 (killed by an explosion while at work at Deborah Creek), John Crisp ; aged 49. Deeply regretted. Home papers please copy. Scott. — On the 21st August, at her residence, Elm row, Dunedin, Margaret, the beloved wife of William Scott ; aged 54 years. Dexniston. — On the 21st August, at New Plymouth, William John Denniston, youngest son of Thomas Denniston, Invercargill. BacKiAl/lay. — On the 21st August 1885, at his residence, High street, Duuedin, New Zealand, Arthur Baggallay, native of London ; aged 31 years Sutton.— On the 22nd August, at the "residence of her parents, Kelvin Grove, Emily Martha, daughter of James and Martha Jane Sutton ; aged 5 years and 5 months. * Thompson. — On the 25th August, at the residence of her parents, Constitution street, Port Chalmers, Mary, youngest daughter of Donald and Flora Thompson ; aged 8 months.
