Sydney, July L The reyenue returns wero made public to.day. The revenue for las^ quarter amounts to £2,070,000, being an increase over the eo'rreBpontUng period of last year of The
total revenue of the past 12 months was £7,500,000, being an increase of £91,800 over the corresponding 12 months of ltfS3-4. Mhlbouunh, July 1. Tho Victorian yearly revenue returns are published to-day. The total revenue for the 12 months ending June 30 is £6,290,000, being an increaso over the preceding year of iJ3Sb",OGO. Among the departments showing increases are: Customs, £150,000; excise, £60,000; railways, £121,000. The total revenue has exceeded the Treasurer's estimate by £32b",000. Adelaide, July 1. The South Australian revenue returns give a total revenue for the past year of £2,150,000, or £271,000 below the estimated amount. Customs duties show an increase of £100,000. Tho Premier, Mr Downer, in his statement announced that the deficiency of tho revenue below expenditure was £256,000, and the actual deficit at tho end of the financial year £700,000.
