The Tongariro took the following cargo for London :— 25 pkgs, 3782 bales wool, 37 pkgs leather, 36 do basils, 20 do cod, 30 do gum, 4 do hides, 21 do tallow, 4 do pelts, 11 do skins, 409 pieces beef, 4849 sacks wheat. 181 cases meat, 17 boxes gold, 13,019 carcasaes mutton.
Mort and Co., of Sydney, report as follows on January ll:—Wheat:0 :— Wheat : New South Wales realiaos from 3s 9d to 3a lOd ; Adelaide and Victorian, 3s 9d ; New Zealand, 3s to 3s 3d per bushel. Oats : The marlcot i» easier. Best, from 2s 9d to 3s ; medium, 2s 6d to 2s 8d per bushel.
Messrs M'Landress, Hepburn, and Co. report that, aa agents for the proprietors, they have soldi to the Government Life Insurance Association of New Zealand that freehold quarter-acre section at the corner of Princes and Rattray Btreets, known as Wise's comer, together with the shops, hotel, warehouses, and other buildings thereon, for the sum of £35,500 cash. This price ia equal to £538 per foot frontage to Princeß Btreet. The ship Westland was towed to sea yesterday afternoon by the s s.
