Dunedin Produce Market.
Mr J. H. Kilgoor, grain and produce broker, reports under date December 19 as follows :—: — Flour. — There is no change in quotations I quote town flour, in sacks and 1001b bags, £10 ss ; 501b bags, £10 15s ; country brands slightly less. Oatmeal, £10 10s to £10 15s per ton. Wheat.— Stocks are low, but tho domand is not brisk. Prime milling commands up to 4s 2d ; inferior and medium, 3s 8d to 3s lid, and Is 9d to 2s 9d for fowl'feed. My sales have been of inferior fowl feed at Is 9d. Oata.— Thero is a demand for shippine, but pricps have not advanced. Prime milling is saleable up to Is 10J to Is 1 1d, aud thort bright feed Is od,at which prices I could place any lots of good shipping quality. I quote inferior and discoloured at la 6d to Is gd. My sales have been of short feed at Is 9d. Barley. — There is a fair demand for prime malting at 43 6d to 49 9d. Other sorts are neglected. Potatoes — The demand for old potatoes is very limited. I have disposed of all consignments fresh from the pit at £2, bags extra. Batter.— l can place any lots of really prime new season's salted, in kegs, at from 6Jd to 7d per lb. Cheese.— New cheese sells at 4^d per lb ; old, 4Jd to sd. Hams and Bacon. — Smoked is saleable at from 9d to 9Jd per lb ; green, 7d to 7|d. Chaff.— Any good oaten Bheaf would sell at £4, but buyers are very particular. My only sales have been of inferior quality at £3 per ton. Grass Seed.— My only sales have been of cocksfoot at fad per lb. There is no demand for ryegrass. Rabbitskins.— There is a fair demand, but supplies of winter skins are now falling off. I have no sales to repoit. Hides.— l quote for heavy welghta, which are scarce, 4d per lb.; light and inferior, 3d per lb. Tallow.— Well-rendered fetches from 30 to 31s Od per cwt. ; rough fat, 19s to 20s Cd.
