Accident.— An accidont of a very serious nature occurred last evening to Mr Thomas Miller. When returning from L*wrence he was thrown from hist horse, and it is feared sustained a fracture of the Bfcull. Fortunately Dr Withers was returning to Lawrence, and on mteting with the uuffejer had him convened to the Hospital, where his injuries could be more readily attended to. TESiPkRANCB.— -We can now boast of a strong detach ment of t >c Blue Ribbon Army, thanks to the indefatigable exertions of Mr Wright, the evangelist, who has been preaching nijrhtly during the last wee*, and I am happy to tay with complete success-*, tor on every occasion the church was crowded -so much so that bitting room was difficult to obtain, and the numb r of recruits who have donned the blue ribbon are not easily counted.
