Is 9d to la tort. The demand has materially slackened owing to the reduction in prices both in Sydney and Melbourne, consequent on tho heavy stocks held in each of thote centres, and sales during the week have been unimportant. Barley ia not in pressing demand, although prime malting samples could be placed at from 4s 3d to 4s Gd ; feed and milling ab 2s Cd to 3a 3d. Kyegrass Seed. — Demand still weak. Messrs Stefiienson and Co. report for the weefe ending July 18 aa follows :—

Fat Cattle —2(50 head jarded to-day at Buroaicle, the majority of the quality bein? from medium to prime. As raigi t bo exoected from «uch a supply comin? forward, prices as compared with last week's fell considerably. This was also brought about by the trade being well supplied by outside purchases. Bullocks fetched from £1 i7s 6d to £12 2s (id ; cows, from £5 to £10 15s. We yarded and sold 25 bead - 14 on account of Mr G. Competition in all casce was brisk. Butchers' : Green crosabreds brought from 2s 9d to 3s lOd ; merinos, 2s 6d to 3a lOd. Dry skins : Crossbreds, from Is 8d to 3s 9d ; merinos, Is 8d to 3s lOd.

Kabbitskins.— All lots coming forward are much sought niter, but we notice consignors do not bestow tho amount of care they ought to in forwarding their lots for sale, many skms coming forward in a very wet condition. Now a little attention to the proper classification and sending skins in a stite fit for shipment would ampty repay consignors. We cannot imoress this too strongly on the public. We have disposed of several lots during tho weok at, for dry well-furred winter skina up to I6d per lb ; but ever-so-well furred skins, if carelessly packed wot, 13d to 14d is all we can fairly ask or get. Hides continue in good demand, and market price is unchanged. We sold, privately, about 200 at pricea ranging, according to quality, from 3d to 4Jd per lb. Tallow.— Well-rendered tallow is worth 32s 6d, ana for rouKh fat we obtained for several lots as high as 23s per cwt. Oats : For prime lots last week's quotations are unchanged, but t>uch lots are scarce. For inferior quality, of which there is no lack in the market, poor prices are the order of the day. For primssamples we quote up to Is lOd; bright feed, from Is 8d to Is 9d ; inferior, from Is 3d to Is 7d per bushel. Barley :"Except lor prime milling samples (which are worth 4s 6d). the demand is slack. Kyegrass Seed. — Demand brisk. For machine-dre-sed, from 4s 3d to 4a 6dj farmers lots, up to 3s 3d.
