The following is from the monthly roport of the Nati >nal Mort.age and Agency Company, dated Melbour c, July 2 :—
Breadatuffß. — Wheat, having steadily declined during tho first half of June till 4d tmd been lost, has recovered Hd to 2d, the lower rates having attracted considerable orders from Syduey and olsowhore. Theso will probably now be checked by the increased price demanded, and we look for a quieter market at about ss, ex store. Flour Buffered even more than wheat, declining 20s per ton, but the market ha * now steadied^ and prices range from £9 15s to £10 IjOb ex store,, according to brand. Should the supply Of rna'Zo increase, the consumption ol oats will be reduced in that proportion ; but should the supply of oats be diminished, a better market may be looked for Maize is in somewhat larger supply than it has been for some time, although it has eased but very slightly. Sales are making at 3s lid to 4s Id Capo barley is lower, and tho rnoro receii" sales have been at 4s Id to 4s 3d. Th» bran market has eased steadily, and is quiet at la o^d. Barley, Malt, and Hops - Prime malting barley haa not alt ere 1 in valuo, a steady business having been done at up to (is Inferior sorts, however, are in far loss demand, and to place parcels lower rates have had to b'i accepted.
