Customs Revenue.

The following revenue was received at tho Cu<-ton. oouae, Dunedin, during th<* week ouding Wednea Uj l»st :—

Tho Colonial Bank's roport for the meeting of the 25th inst. has been issued. The main features of the balance-sheet, as compared with last half-year's, show increased aaseta of £190,000, chiefly comprising £93,000 coin and cash and £90,000 increased advances ; and on the other bide there is an increase in deposits of £15 ,000. £2000 is carried to the reserve fund, making it £40,000, a dividend at the rate of 7 por cent, per annum declared, and £3028 carried to next half.

Mr J. B. Bradshaw reports the sale from Mr Arthur Scoullar to General Irvino of pan of section 1, block XVIII, York place, Dunedin, with house, &c. thereon, for tho sum of £2000 cash.

The Argus' London correspondent writes:— "A large consignment of New Zealand frozeu meat, ex British King, id now selling at rimithfield. It is rot in fiuch good condition as the cargo by tho Dunodin, some of the carcass s bang spotty, owing to th-.ir having been frozen before the life heat of the animal had evaporated. It is reported that som-* of tho meat has been condemned, but the inferior qualities realise from 4JJ to 6d per lb, while tho best is freely bought aa higri as 7iJ. The agents for the Company interested oisi lav an absurd reluctance to give information to the Press."
