Wyndham Ploughin Match.

(khom our own correspondent.) The annual ploughing match under tho anspices of the Wyndham Association was held on Friday last, in a paddock belonging to Mr John M'Lean. Although the morning was showery there was a large attendance. The place selected for the match possesses great natural beauty, being on the banks of the Mimihau Stream, and near a pretty wooded eminence. The judges were Messrs W. Stirling (Wyndham), J. Fleming (Rakahouka), and R. Farquhar (Warepa). The match this year obtained additional interest from the fact that the depth of furrow was fixed at seven inches, an arrangement which probably rendered good work more difficult than it would otherwise have been. The ground, too, waR of such a high quality — so rich and loose, that it did not lie over and show the skin so much desired by experts ; • and, much as it was admired, there-can be no doubt that its richness somewhat hindered the efforts of the competitors. Nevertheless, the judges took a considerable time to award the prizes, showing how keen the competition was. Between 4 and 5 o'clock the secretary, Mr Kidd, amid frequent applause, announced the decisions of the judges as under : —
