Chbistohueoh, April 35th. • The members of the West Coast Railway League have been busy during the past month addressing meetings in all parts of Northern and Central Canterbury, and met with warm support. Their resolution condemning the East Coast line and advocating one .to the West Coast was adopted everywhere except at Kaiapoi, where a motion, moved by Mr Isaac Wilson, M.H.R. for the district, was carried in favour of expending £180,1/00 in the construction of the Northern railway to a point available for the proposed West Coast railway, and also in favour of carrying the line to the Wesb Coast by a northerly direction. Last night Mff Wilson's proposition was rejected at Rangiora, and the League's resolution agreed to.
